Waveny Park includes 250 acres of parkland, 3.5 miles of jogging/walking trains, picnic areas, platform tennis courts, turf fields and baseball/softball fields. Two entrances on South Avenue or Lapham Road.

 

Bristow Bird Sanctuary is directly connected to the Mead Park Baseball facility and is a 17 acre park that provide sanctuary to of a variety of habitats for birds, hosts a unique mixture of riparian and upland hardwood forest, multiple walking trails, and a charming tranquil pond.

 

Irwin Park located at the intersection of Weed Street and Wahackme Road. The 36-acre park has jogging/walking trails for your enjoyment.

 

The Philip Johnson Glass House is a historic house museum on Ponus Ridge Road in New Canaan, built in 1948–49. It was designed by architect Philip Johnson as his own residence. It has been called his "signature work".

NORWALK
 

The Maritime Aquarium is an all ages aquarium experience focused on the preservation and protection of the Long Island Sound ecosystem. Come nose-to-nose with sharks, seals, river otters, sea turtles, jellies and other amazing animals from Long Island Sound and beyond! The center showcases living exhibits, marine science, environmental education and exploration cruises on the Long Island Sound. Open 10-5 every day.

Calf Pasture Beach Enjoy a day at the beach on the Connecticut coastline with tremendous views. The park offers Baseball/softball, volleyball, a skate park, playground, refreshing splash pad, sun and sand sports, a sailing school, bocce, basketball. Non-resident parking is limited but day passes available.
